The team

Costas Constantinou is the Managing Partner of Moore Greece and Moore's Global Shipping Leader. He is a certified public accountant in Greece and an FCA in the U.K.

He studied economics at the London School of Economics and after qualifying as a professional in London, he returned to Greece and has been ever since providing audit, tax and consulting services.

Costas has extensive experience in the provision of professional services in the shipping industry and works closely with other Moore Global network shipping leaders, in order to bring truly global solutions to his clients.

Costas oversaw the design and development of Moore Maritime Index and contributed his shipping industry experience and his knowledge of client needs.

Dr. Ioannis N. Lagoudis is faculty at Department of Maritime Studies at the University of Piraeus. Prior to this appointment he served as faculty at the Department of Shipping Trade and Transport at the University of the Aegean and at the Malaysia Institute for Supply Chain Innovation part of MIT Global SCALE Network. He is Fulbright research scholar at the MIT – Center for Transportation and Logistics, where he is affiliated today. For a number of years he was acting as the Head of R&D of XRTC LTD Business Consultants providing reports and insights on different maritime sectors.

He has also been advising multinational companies and Government agencies in Asia, U.S.A. and Europe on maritime and supply chain related issues. Among the companies he has worked with are CSX, Starbucks, Petronas, Ralph Lauren and Johor Port Authority. His research interests lie in the areas of strategic management, maritime logistics, supply chain management and decision-making. He has published several papers in academic journals, conferences and the press.

Dr. Lagoudis is involved in the design and implementation of the data analytics tools for MMI. In addition he shares his expertise via providing insights assisting maritime companies in achieving operational excellence through MMI.

Dimitris is a member of IT Department at Moore Greece since 2011. He has extensive experience in software programming and is responsible for the design and implementation of numerous software projects both for clients and for internal use. He specializes in data analysis, process analysis, and development & management of software projects.

Dimitris is the main person responsible for the coding of the tool and the smooth running of all its functions.

Athina is a Certified Public Accountant in Greece and a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA). She is also a distinguished member of the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers (MICS). She holds an Honors Master’s degree in ‘Applied Accounting and Auditing’ and an Honors Bachelor’s degree in ‘Accounting and Finance’.

Athina serves as a Manager in the Audit and Assurance department and her clients are primarily private and public shipping companies. She has extensive experience in the audit of shipping companies, financial reporting, governance, compliance, SOX and internal controls assurance projects.

Athina has the role of data verifier in the Moore Maritime Index team. Her main responsibilities are reviewing the data collection methods, confirming the information obtained, facilitating the accurate presentation of data and checking the final results for completeness and accuracy.

Jenny Tsitsopoulou is an experienced accountant and the Executive Assistant to Mr. Constantinou. She is responsible for the coordination of the logistics of the project and the liaison between the data collection teams in Greece and abroad and the projects programmers. She is also the person responsible for handling client queries. She had the same role for more than 15 years in the previous project, Opcost, where she was the liaison between Moore Stephens London and Moore Stephens Greece.

John has 15 years of experience of working within the Moore Global Network in various areas and he is now Global Director in sector growth strategies and global collaboration between network firms. John has specific experience in programme management, change management and IT Strategy and has applied these skills to individual consultancy assignments as well as managing multi-disciplined teams.

John coordinated the communication between Moore Greece and other Moore Global network firms in relation to Moore Maritime Index and he has also contributed useful insights based on his knowledge and experience in global consultancy projects.
